MAS DEFENSE RIDGELINE BARREL NUT

This barrel nut will only fit our Ridgeline handguards. (2) screws and (1) retention bar are included.

Installation should be complete by a gunsmith. The barrel nut accepts a standard AR-15 armorers wrench and must be torqued to a minimum of 38 FOOT LBS. The (2) handguard screws should be torqued evenly to 40 INCH LBS with blue removable loctite applied.

I originally bought an entire upper from MAS Defense that came with their Ridgeline profile handguard.
I later decided swap out with a slimmer profile handguard from another manufacturer (Snake River Armory). Loved the new SNA handguard, but their barrel nut was aluminum. The MAS Defense barrel nut is robust solid steel, and beautifully machined. So I preferred to leave the Ridgeline barrel nut in place on the upper and adapt the new SRA handguard to fit onto the Ridgeline barrel nut. This actually worked out beautifully with some minor filing. I reordered the Ridgeline barrel nut to keep as a set with the removed Ridgeline handguard.
The Ridgeline barrel nut is the most solid barrel nut design that I've seen. It is quite heavy, but complements the heavy profile Ballistic Advantage barrel in rigidity at the union with the receiver. Loving the accuracy of the BA heavy barrel and the support this MAS Defense barrel nut provides.
