MAS DEFENSE RIOT 5.56 MUZZLE BRAKE - MELONITE NITRIDE - 1/2x28 TPI

  • 1/2 x 28 TPI for .223 / 556 NATO - Will NOT work with 9MM.
  • Stainless Steel - Melonite Nitride Treated
  • Four Top Ports control muzzle rise
  • Three Side Chambers reduce recoil
  • Contoured at end to fit crush washer
  • Crush washer is included
  • 2.5" Long x .81" Wide
  • Weight - 3oz
  • Proudly Made in USA

Installation without leaving tool marks.
- Fold a thin plastic bag in half. (the one it came in will work)
- Wrap the bag around the wrench flats at the end of the brake.
- Place your wrench over the bag and brake.
- Torque the brake down until the ports are at top dead center.

I bought this for a build i am working on. Its a very nice looking brake and im going to feel bad boring it up to another caliber but the way it is going to look once together will be worth it

It fits well and looks really good. My only problem with it was that there really isnt a good spot to put a wrench on it to tighten it. I put tape around the top third and used an armorers wrench to tighten it.

5 of 5 Good brake but LOUD July 22, 2018

I found this brake good at reducing upward and rearward recoil (not a huge change though; 223/5.56 isn't a high-recoil round). Just be advised that it is loud - the folks shooting next to you won't be impressed by the noise. I gotta hand it to MAS for the form factor, because this is one very slick looking muzzle brake.
